Liam Payne a member of the very popular One Direction has finally released his debut album that contains multiple singles audiences and consumers have heard since One Direction went on their break. The album is different from other member of the past boy band group.
LP1 holds RnB sounds but every track has a different sound to it. Each track is meant to tie the album together. Liam’s voice matured but some tracks with the beats didn’t make me fall in love with majority of the songs. The album contains drums, acoustic guitar and multiple drops. Here are couple notes regarding some songs on this album.
Remember
This song is my favorite on the album.
I like the acoustic guitar and the lyrics.
This is the most ballad kind of song but it still holds a beat that can fall into the edm drop.
This song was the best form of telling a story that lets fans and audiences vision the story behind those lyrics.
Heart meet break
Short length I feel it could have been longer
The lyrics were quite good.
Hips don’t lie
Have mature sound and lyrics
Sexual
Nice soothing beats and lyrics works well with the beat
The ending could have been more improved
Tell your friends
Need to listen more than once to learn to like it
Quite experimental with beats.
Liam’s voice is quite well.
Say it All
One of the song that is labeled with explicit
This song is probably a grower and not an automatic love for me.
Rude Hours
Another song with the warning of explicit
Not feeling the beginning with the humming
The beat not my favorite
Live Forever
Liam’s voice quite different in this song
Like the beat more than on other songs.
Pronunciation is very clear.
It could have ended better.
Weekend
Start of the song is not that great.
Not feeling the backing tracks
Quick drops.
The song could have been better without these weird backing tracks.
Both Ways
Beat is unique and quite different from One Direction.
Lyrics were same to other sexual songs.
Story behind this song was repetitive.
Some of the tracks were cool and had some cool ideas behind it but it fell short. It was a sexy side to Liam Payne the side that fans know that Liam has. Throughout Liam Payne solo career, some songs were hits and some not so much. For instance songs like Bedroom Floor and Polaroid I found were good songs to jam to but I could not fall in love with Strip that Down. I wished the album had more ballads to showcase that powerful voice that One Direction fans knows that Liam's hold. The album was constant dancing and moving beats but none that could be classified as ballads.
The album was certainly not worth the hype but some songs I found were good to listen to and some songs are probably grower but we will have to wait and see in the future. In the future, I would hope that Liam will shower his fans with some ballads and not just dancing type music that has an edm feel to it with the drops. LP1 could use some more variation in it.
